Nevada Promise Recipients

Recipients must complete the following steps to renew the Nevada Promise Scholarship:

  1. Submit your Nevada Promise Scholarship Application on or before October 31, 2018.
    1. Make sure your contact information and NSHE ID Number are correct to avoid missing essential communications about your application.
    2. After you submit your application, you will receive an automatic email acknowledgement.  Save this email for your records.
    3. If you do not receive the acknowledgement email, check your spam folder. If issues persist, contact the CSN Nevada Promise Office at 702-651-7500.
  2. Complete Mandatory Training #1 on or before December 31, 2018.
    1. Training #1 must be completed online. You will need to provide your NSHE ID Number to complete this training.
    2. This training consists of a series of short videos which you can watch at your own pace. Each video is followed by a quiz.
    3. After you complete this training, you will receive an automatic email acknowledgement. Save this email for your records.
  3. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on or before April 1, 2019 and follow up with the financial aid office to determine any additional documentation that must be submitted on or before April 30, 2019.  Required documents may include tax transcripts which must be obtained from the IRS or other official documents. Applicants are strongly encouraged to file the FAFSA and follow up as early as possible so there is sufficient time to meet this requirement.
    1. Questions about the FAFSA and Verification Process must be directed to the CSN Financial Aid Office
  4. Complete Mandatory Training #2 on or before April 30, 2019
    1. Training #2 can be completed online. You will need to provide your NSHE ID Number to complete this training.
  5. Complete and submit 20 hours of community service ((link to Community Service Requirements)) on or before April 30, 2019.
    1. Submit hours.  Each submission must reflect one service date per activity.
    2. After each submission of community service activity, you will receive an automatic email acknowledgement summarizing the information on the form. Save this email for your records. 
  6. Participate in a minimum of two Mentor Activities on or before April 30, 2019.

  7. Enroll and complete a minimum of 12 credits per semester (fall & spring) that are applicable to a program of study.
  8. Maintain a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA.
